The 2024 Understanding China Conference will be convened once again in Guangzhou from December 2 to 4 under the theme “Carry Through the Reform to the End——Chinese Modernization and New Opportunities for World Development” for its 8th edition. Guided by General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourses on Chinese modernization, the Conference will aim to follow through on the guiding principles of the Third Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee; underscore the global significance of the Chinese modernization in advancing worldwide modernization and building a community with a shared future for mankind; add to the relevance of the mission of deepening reform comprehensively to advance Chinese modernization; look into the distinct features and rich connotations of Chinese modernization; showcase the vitality and charm China's Greater Bay Area has to offer; and help the world better understand China, the Communist Party of China, and the Chinese modernization.
